K-8 Admissions Procedures

Cross Schools accepts students of any color, religion, and national or ethnic origin, subject to their ability to meet the school’s academic standards and depending upon the availability of openings in each grade.

Admissions, K-8

Our Director of Admissions is available to guide you through the admissions process, schedule a tour and answer any questions.  Please contact our Admissions office by clicking here.

If you wish to apply for enrollment now:

  • Download our Application for Admission (K-8) and return to the school along with a $50 application and testing fee.  Our Admissions Office will contact you to schedule a tour and testing day.
  • Visit the school with your student. During this day, we will administer two tests to your student, The Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test and the Peabody Individual Achievement Test. The student will attend a class on his or her current grade level. During this time, the teacher will observe how the student interacts with the other students, participates in classroom discussions, and general behavior.  Please note a special Kindergarten Jamboree is held for rising Kindergarten students in the fall in lieu of testing and observation.

  • You and your student will meet with our Admissions Office to review testing results, the classroom teacher's observation notes, and student records from the previous school. After review of these application requirements, a determination of acceptance will be made. Admittance is subject to grade level availability.

  • Enrollment, if extended, is completed online. An email will be forwarded with a link to complete enrollment. A deposit is required along with the online submission in order to fully enroll your student.
