Upper School

The Upper School at Cross Schools serves students in grades 9-12 and offers a comprehensive college-preparatory curriculum that challenges students to reach their full potential academically, spiritually, and socially.

The Upper School curriculum at Cross Schools is designed to be rigorous and engaging, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to succeed in college and beyond. The curriculum is aligned with the South Carolina Department of Education's standards and is enhanced by Cross Schools' commitment to a Christian worldview and character development.

The core curriculum for the Upper School includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign language courses. In addition to these core courses, students can take electives in various subjects, including art, music, drama, journalism, and computer science.

Cross Schools also offers a number of advanced courses for students who want to challenge themselves academically. These courses include Advanced Placement (AP) courses in subjects such as English, calculus, biology, and U.S. history. 

In addition to academic coursework, Cross Schools provides opportunities for students to participate in a range of extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs, and service projects. The school is a member of the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) and offers a competitive athletic program that includes sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, golf, and cross country.

Overall, the Upper School curriculum at Cross Schools is designed to provide students with a challenging and supportive learning environment that prepares them for success in college and beyond while also nurturing their spiritual and moral development.
