Early Education Faith Formation

Faith Formation - Early Education

Students who attend Cross Schools Early Education program enjoy the following faith formation programs:

  • Weekly Chapel - Early Education chapel is a special time of worship completely designed for our youngest Cross friends.  Students (older two-year-old students through Transitional Kindergarten) participate in a large group, fun-filled service with singing and dancing, Bible stories, videos and prayer. Students also take turns serving as "song leaders" during our worship time.

  • Monthly Family Chapel  - Once a month, all families are invited to attend chapel with their student and fellowship with other Cross parents and grandparents over a cup of coffee before or after the service.

  • Weekly Bible Time  - All preschool students take part in special “Bible Time” classes. Preschoolers are led in songs, prayer, and reinforcement of the week’s Bible story, lesson, and memory verse. They will learn stories from the Old Testament during the first half of the year, followed by stories from the New Testament as well as Christmas and Easter stories.

  • Daily Bible Application - Each teacher integrates Biblical lessons and truths into their classroom through morning devotionals, Bible songs, arts and crafts, Bible stories and prayer time.

  • Special Events and Celebrations – Throughout the year, students and families have the opportunity to participate in a variety of special events. Some of our favorites include:

      • “Happy Birthday Jesus” parties during the Christmas season

      • The Blessing of the Animals service in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis

      • National Day of Prayer service

      • Easter Festival in conjunction with The Church of the Cross

      • Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Drive
      • Vacation Bible School for year-round and summer camp students

      • Thanksgiving and Christmas Musical Performances

      • Special classes offered by The Church of the Cross, such as Biblical Parenting 101 and Bible Studies for moms and dads
