Achievements and Awards

2007-2008

• 12 students went to Regional Spelling Bee in Charleston , SC



• Cameron Nix went to the State Spelling Bee at Williamsburg Academy



• 10 students competed in the SCISA Literary Meet



• Mrs. Ilderton won the Palmetto Electric Bright Ideas grant



• 5th Grade Duke TIP students are Wheeler Edwards, Barry Lowther, Sydney Harrell, Robert Barrett, Natalie Young, and Cameron Nix.



• 7th Grade Duke TIP students are Katie Diaz, Ferrin Reidinger, Rebecca Meeder, Erik Azevedo, Vanessa Daves, and Casey Witkowski



• Junior Beta Club collected boxes and gifts for Operation Christmas Child as well as collected supplies and money for Hilton Head Heroes



• The Chess Club won the Middle School Tournament for April and May



• School Science Fair winners include Robert Barrett, Casey Witkowski, DJ Snyder, Luke Azevedo, and Katie Diaz



• The Sea Island Regional Science Fair winners include Casey Witkowski, Ferrin Reidinger, Luke Azevedo, Cash Knight, Katie Diaz, Olivia Krause, and Emma McCracken



• The Robotics team placed 15th in a regional tournament
